upromise

Looking for a way to help save for a child’s education? An easy way to accumulate extra money is with a FREE Upromise account. We’ll be writing about Upromise on a regular basis to help Milwaukee Consumers understand all the in’s and out’s of a Upromise account. Here’s a brief introduction into what Upromise is all about:

Upromise was founded with a single mission in mind-to help families achieve the goal of a college education for the children they love.  Upromise provides the programs, products, and information parents need to help them reach their college-savings goals.  As a Upromise member, you can save for college on everyday purchases such as gas, groceries, dining out-even when you shop online.  And you can invite your family and friends to help you save too. When they join, a portion of their eligible spending can be deposited into your Upromise account-automatically.

To date, Upromise and its partners have contributed over $450 million to their member’s accounts.

How It Works

  • Join Upromise for FREE and register your grocery loyalty cards, credit cards, and other basic information to allow us to track your eligible spending
  • Shop for the participating products and services you enjoy.  There are 96 restaurants within 14 miles of downtown Milwaukee that participate in the Upromise program.  To search for participating restaurants close to you, click on the advertisement below to get to the Upromise website, then click on the “Meet Our Partners” tab and select the Restaurants option.
  • Save a portion of your qualified spending for college automatically in your Upromise account.

Kmart $25 Gift Card Deal

Check out the Coupon Cravings blog for information on how you can receive a $25 gift card to Kmart if you make a $50 purchase. Make sure you read the fine print on the offer. The fine print does include the statement “while supplies last”.

Here’s a tip:  if you do go to Kmart for this offer, send away for the $25 gift card as soon as you get home from the store.  Many consumers often intend to send in for a rebate such as this, but if they don’t take immediate action they often forget to send their information in by the deadline.
