Thanks to reader Ellen F. who alerted us of this great deal.  She sent us this picture of an advertisement outside of Takara Restaurant in Elm Grove.  We contacted Takara and asked if the 50% off Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday deal was only for this coming week.  They stated the deal was indefinite.  Takara is located in the Autumn Grove Plaza at 12900 W. Bluemound Road.  Their phone number is 262-789-8383.

    3. We contacted Takara to verify the special. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday they have a special 1/2 price menu which includes hibachi, tempura, items from the sushi bar, and other selections from the regular menu. Not everything is on the 1/2 price menu, but there is a wide sampling from the regular menu on it. If there is something in particular you are looking for, you may want to call them to see if it is offered as a part of the 1/2 price deal.

    5. We love Takara! The food is REALLY good but we never tried the sushi there. I bet it is tasty. We’ll probably go there even more now because Elm Grove Perk and Pub closed. We were totally bummed that Perk and Pub closed because they had awesome pizza and the kids could play around and watch tv. I need to find another place to take the kids to! Anyway, go for the hibachi there. They used to have great prices on Mondays so its nice to have great prices on other days.

    Thanks for your comment and sharing with our community how much you enjoy Takara. Also, you mentioned Elm Grove Perk And Pub closing. We checked out their website at http://www.perkandpub.biz and saw that they closed on March 7, 2009. Unfortunately, due to this economy there will probably be many other local restaurants closing in the near future. However, at Milwaukee Consumer we will do our best to share great deals around the city in order to help promote local restaurants. Please let us know if you find any other great places to take your kids!
